did you vote? why or why not?

I have to say everyone’s input does count, but voting to me is not very important unless I am voting for the president. I have a lot on my plate as of this moment and I am focusing on school and work. As I grow older and I have more time to focus on voting, I will. For now my main focuses are the main things that will better my future. I believe that voting will not benefit me in the long run but more important things will. For example, these essays I write in class, as I write more and I focus on my writing I become better at it. With my progress comes achievement in time. This is how I move forward in school even if it’s a tiny step up, it is one step closer to success.

reliable and unreliable information

I believe that Wikipedia.com is an unreliable source of information. This is because it is a public forum and anyone could make a claim or assertion that may be false. On the Wikipedia website, it states that you should "not use Wikipedia to make critical decisions". Wikipedia also says, "we do not expect you to trust us", this is because the information given on this website is written by editors with little diversity. many of these editors are from north America and Europe. 87 percent of these editors are also male. Wikipedia is also an unreliable website to find information because you cannot trust information you read if you do not know who wrote it.

I believe that about.com is a reliable source to find information that can be helpful. This is because this website gives you information on who wrote each piece of information. Also because each section is written by a professional who is knowledgeable about the field. About.com is written by a network of more than 750 Guides and each Guide is selectively recruited, trained, and regularly reviewed by their editorial staff. About.com Guides have deep experience and credentials in their fields .

Reflect upon

In my opinions my papers are good and when I write about a topic that I know alot about I write very well. when it comes to writing a paper talking about the meaning of something like life or going for or against a topic such as gay couples adopting, this is when i do my best. I actually thought I was an excellent writer but that was in high school. Now I have entered college and I need to expand my vocabulary in order to write better papers.I need to learn where to put commas and periods and where not to put them. I also need to be more careful when I am writing and reread my paper to see if the sentences make sense.

This stress is a mess

Coming into the midterms makes me worried and stressed because I already have to make sure my grades are kept up and all my work is done but I also have to study for this test and hope I do well on it. I work so there is hardly any time for much but when I do have time I do all my work. Trying to fit midterms in is very difficult and when it comes to testing my grades arent always that good because I panic when I test. I try to do so much at once and sometimes I forget how to pace myself. I end up upset at myself because I know that I know the work but it doesnt always come out on test.

Do music videos affect the way you feel about particular songs?

Not all but some music videos do affect the way I feel about a particular song. Some music writers make a song seem like it has a particular meaning and then when you see the music video it is has totally different meaning sending you a different message about the song. For instance, the song called Please Dont Leave Me by Pink. If you heard this song it gives you the impression that this song is about a woman that is in love and she's beggining the man she is in love with to come back, implying that she loves him a lot. The whole meaning of the song changes when you see the video, instead of her asking him not to leave her. she is basically forcing him to stay with her, basically telling him that he wont be able to leave her even if he wanted to. She torchers him and keeps him tied up which is a totally different view of what the song sounded like.

This is just my first semester in college and I am ready to jump out of a window. There have been multiple problems with the financial aid and the process of getting into school is way too long. I have not had my family help me with college so I have been doing everything on my own. It is very difficult to keep up with everything at once and I'm losing my mind but I'm trying to stay sane. The worst thing about college right now would have to be the bookstore or might I say the never ending line to get your books. I have waited hours in a line with my anxiety acting up in a hot room for nothing at all. I am a new student and I was never told that in order to get my books I would have to complete an authorization page. All you have to do on that page is basically click submit I mean come on I think they could have done it for the students and on top of that I have to wait 24 hours it’s just absurd.
I already have to worry about where to park my car but now I have to worry about getting my books on time. I am trying to start off good in all my classes but it sometimes seems impossible because we already are given homework assignments and I don't even have my books yet. I think this whole process of getting into school and getting our books is so stupid. They make our lives more difficult than it already is being a new student but they make us have to complete little forms and pages of things that they can complete themselves. Having to wait in every line for a long amount of time is pointless especially when you have classes that you need to get to, appointments, or jobs. I tried to get my English book but they ran out so now I have to go on Monday to go get my books.
